Guidelines:

Most of these meditations are recordings from live meditation classes. They are designed to be accessible for everyone- those who have never meditated to those who meditate daily. The goal is to meet everyone exactly where they are on their journey. For more meditations, please click on the Meditation Library link.

  • It is appropriate to do the same meditation again and again. Trust that there is more for you every time you encounter a repeat.
  • It is ideal to have a space that is comfortable for meditation. You will want to dress comfortably and with the temperature in mind. Having a blanket, scarf, or something to keep you warm nearby is a good idea because when you get still, you may feel cooler. If it is hot in your space, stillness in the body and air movement with a fan can be helpful.
  • There is guidance about your seat in most of the meditations, but generally, you will want to have a pillow, blanket and/or yoga mat nearby. Sitting in a chair, or being in bed will also work well. It is possible to use the support from a wall or the back of a chair if you prefer. There are many great seats for meditation, so let yourself enjoy and be comfortable. This is step one in the self-love journey.
  • Many of the meditations incorporate singing or chanting. Most of the chants and mantras are in Sanskrit. Sanskrit is an ancient and now unspoken language. Its meaning is vast, and because of this, there are no direct translations, but rather commentary on what the words mean. Sanskrit includes both breath regulation and economy in its design, so chanting is an enormously efficient modality for meditation because of the built-in breath work. Most of the phrases are considered mantras. Mantra means mind protection. As you focus on specific words and ideas, there is less space for undesirable, random or chaotic thoughts. This is how mantra works to protect the mind.
  • Do these meditations for love and joy while enjoying yourself! This is your foundation in self-love, which is the source from which all love comes.

Love is always the answer!
